WHAT WE DO

TRAINING | WORKSHOP | INTERNSHIP

Building Skills

We hold various programmes throughout the year to inspire and motivate young people to invest in their passions, making productive use of their time whilst building their transferable skills in order to prepare the youths for the working/business world.

These courses include:

● Workskills Programmes

● Entrepreneur Courses

● Internship Opportunities

● Free Tuition (Maths, English & Science)

● Leisure & Educational Visits

We work to inspire and motivate young people to invest in their passions and use their skills in a positive manner, getting them off the streets and making productive use of their time.

We offer support to the community with various initiatives by helping our members set up businesses, providing mentoring for young people including after-school homework club and free tuition in Maths, English & Science. We also provide excursions and holiday activities, business & project management training courses. These services provide enrichment and extra support for disadvantaged children who may not be getting these opportunities outside of school. They become progressively more disadvantaged until the gap between them and advantaged children is huge. This gap causes a severe hurdle for those seeking to enter higher education and the job market.

For those seeking business advice, the charity also connects young entrepreneurs to potential investors and mentors.

We aim to break the barriers between advantage and disadvantaged young people by providing support that equip them with the right tools and confidence to pursue a career of their choice

Workskills Programme

The Workskills programme runs in different periods throughout the year. The sessions are taught towards a BTEC level 1 Awards Diploma in Workskills. The unit is on ‘Investigating Portfolio Careers and Self-employment’.

Aspire To Inspire

Aspire To Inspire (ATI) is a short course aimed at helping young people aged 12-17 years old to develop business ideas. This course is run twice a year. Young people have an opportunity to present their plans to potential investors.

Skills For Growth

Skills for growth is aimed at helping young people get valuable experience by placing them in internships in their career of choice. For internships at other companies, we assist young people in the application process, preparing their CV, and we provide them with interview guidance.

Adventure Days

Throughout the year we schedule trips to broaden the young people's experiences, opportunities otherwise unavailable to them. These trips aim to give young people the chance to learn and grow educationally, physically, emotionally and socially.

Excel Class

FREE TUITION

To combat the disparity of grades children from disadvantaged backgrounds have compared to children from higher income families who are able to provide the resources to supplement school learning, we aim to provide extra-curricular support. Free tutoring classes will be held either 1:1 or in small groups, supporting young people particularly in Maths, English and Science.
